Scherzoland was born somewhere between rehearsals, snowstorms, and long quiet drives across Norway. As an oboe player, music has always been my world, but after more than ten years working as a photographer, I found myself craving another way to create during those long, dark, freezing months when the camera stayed in the bag.
On the road, alone with ideas and bad musician jokes, I began imagining a place where classical music could laugh at itself. Those silly thoughts slowly turned into sketches, and sketches into illustrations.
Scherzoland became my playground. A way to keep creating, keep learning, and bring a bit of humor into a very serious art form.I’ve loved every step of the journey so far, especially discovering the craft of illustration and watching these little ideas come to life.
I hope you’ll join me on this ride, because Scherzoland is just getting started and there’s plenty more fun ahead.
